The name of the collection "鶴の恩返し-Tsuru No Ongaeshi" refers to the title of an old Japanese tale, in which a mystic crane girl weaves the most exquisite textiles. The story was the impulse for a fascination of Japanese mastery, that lead to a working process founded on bringing together traditional crafts such as hand-weaving, knitting and silkscreen printing in combination with modern techniques such as CAD pattern-making, knit-machine programming and 3d printing.
